Presentation at TATRY 2019, radio amateurs’ meeting

This year, the Slovak Amateur Radio Association once again organised the largest meeting of radio amateurs in Slovakia, which is traditionally held in Poprad. Not only radio amateurs from Slovakia but also from Poland, The Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia take part in it.

This year, as a radio club dealing with satellite operation, we were asked to give a presentation on the topic of Operation via the Es’hail-2 QO-100 satellite. As the presenter, I briefly introduced the Es’hail-2 satellite and practically demonstrated one connection with Števo, OM0MS. After the presentation, a big discussion opened up where we tried to answer all the questions asked. I answered questions regarding the operation and Dušan, OM3WAK, took to answering everything around the technical equipment. His Helix antennas were a great success.

We hope, that our presentation has helped to gather interest amongst new radio amateurs and showed them a simple way of how to be active on the Qatar satellite QO-100. If you need more information, do not hesitate to contact us by email and we would be happy to help you get started.
